Resetting Maintenance Counters in the HP LJ 4250/4350

As many of you will find, there are slight differences between the HP LJ 4250/4350 and HP LJ 4200/4300. The differences are as follows:

Resetting Maintenance Counter (4200/4300)

* Turn printer off.
* Hold down the “Select” button and turn the printer on. Continue holding this down until all three control panel LED’s turn on and remain on.
* Press the “Up arrow” button and scroll to “New Maintenance Kit.”
* Press “Select” once more to reset.

Resetting Maintenance Counter (4250/4350)

* Turn printer off.
* After turning the printer on, press and hold the “Select” button, when “00MB” appears on the display. Continue holding down the “Select” button until all three control panel LED’s flash and then come on and remain on.
* Press the “Up Arrow” button and scroll to “New Maintenance Kit.”
* Press “Select” once more to reset.
